This festival has been in the paper for 2 weeks and it took over the entire downtown Hampton waterfront. We got there not really knowing what to expect and it was WONDERFUL! They had stages set up all over the waterfront for various shows and they did re-enactments on pirate ships chasing the Naval fleet. They did canon ball demonstrations--and everywhere you looked there were PIRATES! Andrew had a great time--it was beautiful out (86 degrees) and the breeze was blowing.
