My long-time friend, Amy Simpson, came to visit for the long weekend. We had a blast-- we hit the Yankee Candle outlet (and if you are familiar with the outlet, you know it's Yankee Candles PLUS everything...housewares, ornaments from around the world (German mostly) and things like Vera Wang purses/wallets/backpacks etc. There's a fudge shop there, a candle dipping area, a cafe, a fountain...and even snow...it's quite the adventure. And Amy put quite a dent in her wallet before we left.
We came home to help her watch the Louisville Cardinals play their opening game...she decked out Andrew in a LC onsie with a cardinal on the rear and a football to match. The two of them had a ball yelling at the TV with Andrew repeating everything Amy said.
Midway through the game , they were losing so badly that no one could take it anymore and we decided to instead, head to Buckroe Beach for the sunset and an evening swim.
