We decided to drive down to Ft Story (right next to Virginia Beach area) on Saturday evening. There are beaches there (on the base) and 2 lighthouses. We thought Andrew would LOVE to walk down to the water--it was 95 out and HUMID. But, it took forever to get to the beach because he was wanting to explore everything and we'd get just about there and he'd turn 180 and head back the other way. We finally made it and started to take a picture and he took off running for the ramp again. He's into walking and climbing these days and sandy stairs really intrigued him! By the way, we were only there (literally 25 min) and covered in sunscreen. He was beat red from the heat, not sun burn (so don't worry).
