Celebrating our June Anniversary in July

Finally, after all the activity we've had...a teenager, the tile man, visitors, a wedding shower and more, we were able to take the opportunity to schedule a babysitter so we could go out for our anniversary. Jason had been trying to get us into "this place" for awhile but it took some work...he took me to the "Campbell Tavern" in Colonial Williamsburg--what a treat! He had to make the reservations at a central reservation website online and then wait for a call back. They had specific seating times and boy was it worth the wait! All the staff was in period clothing, the food was colonial food, we had to wear the 'kerchiefs' around our necks during dinner because the Campbell's didn't have a washer and dryer big enough for all our 'fancifuls'. We were serenaded by a woman playing the fiddle and singing and also heard from the town crier during dinner about what was happening between the colonies and Britain. What a great night!
