We went to Historic Jamestown this past weekend. We had gone to the Jamestown Settlement a couple of times which is a museum and ships and re-inactment of daily life there. But the settlement was not discovered until 1994, when a man began excavating and discovered the entire town. They are still excavating here and while 2,000 items are on display in the museum, 2 million artifacts have been dug up and catalogued in the vault. It was really interesting and really really hot. In fact, we probably picked the hottest day of the summer so far to go do this...but Andrew was a trooper.
